Karl comes from a cycling family - he loves everything about bikes and riding. His father built him a custom racing bike when he was 6 years old and he was racing by the age of 8. He won five Queensland Championships as a schoolboy. As schooling became more serious, he stopped racing but kept on cycling just the same. He later developed an interest in mountain biking.
Suki had a great experience for his first Under23 Nationals. In
Wednesdays timetrial Suki came home 6minutes behind the winner Matt
King from N.T. Saturdays Road Race was run over a demanding 120km hilly
course around Mount Bunninyong in Victoria. Suki rode well all day
untill being dropped from the remaining peleton on the 8th lap but
finished. Withover half the field pulling out, it was a tough day.
